Pottery Training at Regional Pottery Training Centre (RPTC)
Gramodaya Sangh, Bhadravati has been working for the development of traditional pottery and rural artisans for several decades. The organization operates the Regional Pottery Training Centre (RPTC) to provide structured training and support for pottery craft.
The centre focuses on developing pottery skills, promoting rural entrepreneurship, and strengthening traditional pottery industries.
Regional Pottery Training Centre (RPTC)​
The Regional Pottery Training Centre was established in 1956 to promote pottery training and support rural artisans.The centre provides short-term training courses in Red Ware and White Ware pottery. These courses are organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.The training programs aim to enhance pottery skills and encourage self-employment among artisans.

Pottery Certificate Courses

The centre offers certificate courses in pottery craft with the following duration:

2-Month Pottery Certificate Course

6-Month Pottery Certificate Course
More than 75% of trainees are either employed or self-employed after completing the training programs.
White Ware Training-cum-Production Unit​
The White Ware Training-cum-Production Unit was also established in 1956 to provide training in white ware art pottery and utility goods.The unit was started to support the development of the rural pottery cluster.Over the years, the unit has diversified into the design and production of decorative and architectural art ware, while continuing to maintain the ideology of traditional handicrafts.

UNDP–KVIC Pottery Project
​Under the UNDP–KVIC Pottery Project, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission selected Gramodaya Sangh as a model centre for the design and development of water filter candles.This initiative helped promote innovation in pottery products and contributed to rural livelihood development.

SFURTI Scheme – Pottery Cluster Development​
Under the SFURTI Scheme implemented by KVIC at Gadchiroli, Gramodaya Sangh has supported the development of a pottery cluster.

Key outcomes include:

Establishment of a Common Facility Centre (CFC) at MIDC, Gadchiroli
The initiative has helped strengthen traditional pottery industries and improve livelihood opportunities for rural artisans.
